Arts Advocate & Consultant
Maestro Nance is a 35-year veteran of the arts scene in the northeast Indiana region. He is a strong advocate for the arts and works tirelessly to promote community support for career artists. He is known nationally for his work as an entrepreneurial musician and performing artist.
One of the most rewarding aspects of Maestro Nance’s work today is advocating for career artists and supporting the organizations that employ them. Fully employed career artists make our communities culturally rich and economically viable by attracting businesses and the creative class, which in turn increases investment in the community. Through his entrepreneurial skill and creative thinking, he has helped to grow the arts industry, creating opportunities that balance earned income and philanthropy, which in turn builds solid relationships with clients and donors.
Maestro Nance has served on many local, regional, and national panels for the arts, including as a panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts. He is often called upon to consult with artists, nonprofit boards, and leadership teams to help with organizational effectiveness, communication, and efficiency, as well as designing strategic plans that help arts organizations obtain sustainability and thus the ability to sustain careers for their artists.
