Brave Girl:
A New Musical

I’ve known many women and their families and friends whose lives have been upended by breast cancer. Inspired by several dear friends who have shared their stories with me, I am working on writing a fictional story about one woman’s journey from diagnosis, through treatment, struggles with identity, strained relationships, new and inspiriting relationships with fellow patients, loss and grief, therapy and healing, and ultimately finding her new ‘self’ as a survivor. 

A story of shock, grief, strength, resilience and hope. While the story I am writing is fiction, it is an amalgam of stories I’ve heard, read and experienced and I hope will ring true for those who may hear it. I welcome your story. If you care to share your experience with breast cancer, I would be honored to read it and hold it in my heart as I work on this passion project.
